Requirements
- ●Must be 18+ by June 2026
- ●Fluency in English required; Spanish and French are strong advantages
- ●Available for at least 10 days during the tournament (June 11 – July 19, 2026)
- ●Background check required for all positions
- ●Legally authorized to volunteer in the host country (USA, Canada, or Mexico)
- ●Previous event or sports volunteer experience preferred but not required

When do volunteer applications open?
FIFA has not announced the exact date, but based on previous tournaments (Qatar 2022 opened 18 months before), applications are expected to open in late 2025. Register on FIFA+ to be notified.
Can I volunteer if I'm not a US/Canada/Mexico citizen?
You must be legally authorized to volunteer in the host country. Check with your embassy for specifics on visa requirements for volunteer activity.
Do volunteers get free tickets?
Volunteers do not receive free match tickets, but you will be inside the stadium during matches in your assigned role.
Can I choose which city to volunteer in?
You can indicate your preferred city during the application, but assignments are based on need. Living near your chosen city improves your chances.
Is accommodation provided?
FIFA does not provide accommodation for volunteers. You are responsible for your own housing. Some cities may organize volunteer housing networks closer to the event.
What training is provided?
All volunteers receive online training modules and in-person orientation sessions 2-4 weeks before the tournament begins. Role-specific training is provided for specialized positions.
